The Directorate of Gas
Claims was set up in October, 1985 to register the claims of the Bhopal gas
victims. In the year 1995 the scope of work of the Directorate was
enhanced and the Directorate of Gas Claims was rechristened as Directorate of
Gas Relief and Rehabilitation. All the rehabilitation units of the
Department were brought under its administrative control. The
Directorate has to ensure a proper coordination between the Department and
the field formations.
Presently the Directorate of
Gas Relief and Rehabilitation is working at 01, Shivaji Nagar, Behind Red Cross Hospital, Bhopal.
